    Hi, there.
Recently, I have downloaded and tested Carbonite Ultra OVA Simulator and really thankfull for whom created that.
As I go through the simulator there appeared the question that I could not find the answer, the question is , is it possible to view internal sources such as Media Stores files on a Multiview or on a  ViewControl ? So  when Memory Bank is created such as 2 , 3  Boxes etc.. all of them can be real time viewed to modify their position , size etc.. ?

    Thanks in advance.

There is no "video engine" to perform this request.  The Carbonite Ultra Video processing is done in FPGA.

The all new Carbonite Code which is a CPU/GPU carbonite would be able to do this however that is not a "free" application.

    Okay, so now I'm curious.
Are the custom controls/memories from the Carbonite Code compatible with the Carbontite Ultra?
Because if so, that's another argument for us picking one up in the near future.

Yes for "most things" that are the same like MEs / Keyers / Source Inputs .. etc. Then it will allow you to import the memories and Custom Controls from an Ultra or Vice Versa from a CODE and put those into an Ultra.

I just built a 4 Box (using internal media store samples) on ME 1 and put that on ME P/P with Media 1 in Preview.  I stored the memory including the ME 1 and ME PP.  I exported that from CODE and then Imported (export is on the SAVE page and import is on the LOAD page) in Carbonite Ultra the file set.  I loaded just the memories to not change the rest of my Ultra Switcher and configuration.

I then Recalled the Memory.  I had to Assign the Media Items to the channels (the internals don't have the exact same IDs) and I had to change the colour of the Background since in Ultra there are dedicated ME Colour Backgrouds and then a Global Colour (global is used on Aux Buses).  I left it with the default RED in the background so you can see the difference.

Basically -- yes export them .. import them but make sure to run through everything as some things will need tweaking.  There is also no "MiniME" or UltraScene in Carbonite Code for those to "share" memories with.
