a quick way is to use the "isEmpty" part of a text object. You can turn a 2 line super into a 1 line by simply not typing anything. then using an input selector you can reposition the "top line" of text vertically where you want it. You could have a sub-text 2nd line that would only appear if your operator typed something into the published field. If I am over-simplifying things, forgive me.

Subject: Visual Logic: Change Scene Variant with a Text Object
Beginner to Visual Logic & Scripting. I have a package with scenes for different instances of the same lower third (One Line, Two Lines, One line w/ Sub Title, etc,) that I'm trying to consolidate to one scene, with the variant selected by a text object. I've previously tried to accomplish this with an OnSetText script with no luck. I've seen examples of this working in Visual Logic, but don't know why it works. I've run through most of the RossU tutorials with Sort Selectors and am trying to understand how Input Selectors work. Appreciate any advice and resources to help this non-programmer understand these concepts to up my skill set. Thanks!
