Our TV station recently obtained a graphics package to use for our sports productions. Everything was premade, and all we had to do was make a few fixes, swap out templates, etc. Our graphics integration utilizes both Dashboard and Xpression. The idea is that a graphics operator will simply have to open Xpression, and then use Dashboard to bring graphics in and out. In Xpression, the Volleyball score bug that we have has a very complex visual logic equation. I am attaching a screenshot, but essentially, the purpose is to make it so the score of the match updates automatically after a set concludes. But, it isn't working. No matter what I input for game scores, nothing ever changes for the match score. Since I didn't create the project, and I'm relatively new to Dashboard/Xpression, I can't figure out why the visual logic isn't working. If anyone could take a look and figure it out, I would greatly appreciate it.

    Hi David

Do you have Datalinq running?  That is the application that sits between Dashboard and XPression and feeds data through.
If you start Datalinq (probably a link on your desktop) then File->Load Configuration the file you need is most likely within the Misc folder of the project and has a .dsc file type.

If you do have Datalinq running, was Dashboard set to run on the same PC as Xpression?  Check the Datalinq app and see if it is connected to Dashboard, and that the IP address is correct.

Simon has hit everything I would suggest. The only thing I would add would be to check if "allow streaming" is enabled on the dashboard.

Yes to all of this - There are other graphics that link between Dashboard and Xpression correctly. It's the Volleyball bug that specifically has issues. We have done Football and Soccer games with the connection between Dashboard and Xpression having no issues.

    Ah, ok.

It's possible to disable a tab in Visual Logic - there is an Enabled check box at the bottom of the page under its name, could make sure that is checked.

You could also check the Datalinq connections within Visual Logic. If you click on them, a properties box appears at the bottom. Click on the 3 ... and then Browse button. If you have red text for the column and row at the top of the screen, then it can't find that connection for some reason.

I'd start with the Datalinq block top right that feeds the Input selector.

Is the number zero underneath the Set 5 on the graphic the number you are expecting to change?

Yes, the number 0 is the section I'm trying to change. It's showing that because the layer was set to datalinq in the sequence. Typically, when working properly, it should say the team name and then score after a set is updated. In this instance, since I have the sets as 25-12, 25-10, 7-25, and 6-25, it should say "Tied 2-2." I am making progress. I did figure out that the visual logic was disabled. I turned on the check box, and now the visual logic all seems to be working properly. I feel incredibly silly that I couldn't see that in the first place. I guess another set of eyes was needed. Thank you for the help!
