I needed a version of Wheel of Fortune for our in arena show, and so I set out to build it. So I just wanted to share it back with this community since this community has given me so much over the years.
The assets folder below has the following in it. The project. A dashboard panel to trigger things. A KBD file for the GPI trigger mapping, but the buttons in the dashboard could be redone just to do take commands on the take items as well (it would save a step or two), and _WOF folder that contains 27 imgages, 26 letters plus a blank one, because chatGPT wanted it that way.
The scene is good for 40 characters. It is set that if the words run past the first line they go down onto the second line. Then they are also set to do their best to center the words on the line. - So something like Lake Michigan, would go onto 2 lines in the scene. - If you were to guess something like a V for that phrase, there is a scene director that over 3 seconds plays a giant red X, just text.
The dashboard also contains a reveal button for when someone guesses the word to spin the rest of the tiles.
Lastly, to make it work, when you save the image folder onto your computer, you have to go into the script on the scene, and a handful of lines down, you just need to update the file path for where the images are being pulled from. The script adds the file extension later on.
