Hi, i'm trying to get an easier workflow when it comes to graphs.
Often we end up doing a lot of the work manually - moving quads/bars around, manually adjusting height etc.

    Isnt there an easier way?

We get the graphs from Excel (XLSX). Would it be possible to import the "image" excel creates?
I've tried to use Visual Logic, and it works, as long as the bars are all "postive", if one of them has a negative input - it doesnt work :)

    Any Idea for a solution?

I mean you can save an image and import that.

But if you want live graphs you'll need to build them in XPression.

Negative numbers can work, just depends on how you build the graph.

Yes, we  sometimes just save it as a jpeg.

I was hoping to figure a way to get it more automated.
I've been looking in the tuts section - but there isnt much about importing excel graph data, and get xpression to "understand" it - like bar graphs and line charts.

    Bar

    Pie

You just need to tie the data fields from excel to the values for the Bar/Pie using datalinq.

Thanks, I've used both before, but its the tutorial on how to use the data from excel I would be more than happy to find.
I've set up a dataconnection, and I can see the rows etc in xpression - but how to use them in a project  - thats the part where im lost.
A video on that would be great :)
