Have you tried using a Decimator converter to convert to 1080i instead of doing it from Bluebox or Newtek?
It's weird but sometimes you have to go through a converter to get the correct format. I've run into issues like this when switching between 1080i and P, and this usually fixes them.
I would also check out Lumantek from Amazon. Usually, we have a couple of different converters to troubleshoot, including BM but Lumantek and Decimators converters are more stable, just a thought.

Yes, the issue is also present when using NDI Studio Monitor. The only fix is setting the BlueBox's default video format to 1080p. However, we need to convert the signal back to 1080i (via NC2 IO) for compatibility with the video switcher. Unfortunately, this conversion introduces slight stuttering in the animation compared to the smooth playback on our legacy BlueBox hardware.
Another issue involves the audio. When the Bluebox's "Default Video Format" is changed to 1080p, this fixes the video quality and plays correctly, but the audio plays at twice the normal speed. Note that the audio is discrete (separate from the video). One thing we did to fix is embedding the audio with the graphics in a 1080i project. However, this approach requires significantly more storage space if applied to all our projects. Another solution that works is to keep the audio discrete but publish the project as 1080p.
That said, in terms of playback quality, none of these solutions match the smoothness we had with our legacy hardware BlueBoxes.

Do you see the issue in the NDI Studio Monitor?
