Please excuse this simple (for all of you) question. I use Xpression Designer for simple lower 3rds.

We were given a 2 line L3rd template where the background bar (quad) under text expands based the amount of characters, but that function works with the wrong line. I'd like to fix that.

I am pretty familiar with layouts, enough to build out some of my own stuff but I can't find the function where the quad expands to the right based on text. 

Can someone assist?

This is probably in Visual Logic. in the design mode (F3) there is a checkbox looking logo at the top of the design window. Click there and it should show what has been programmed into your scene.

Thank you Malcolm. I found the Visual Logic Editor but as I said, not being a very knowledgeable XP user, it doesn't help me diagnose the problem.

Thank you Malcolm. I found the Visual Logic Editor but as I said, not being a very knowledgeable XP user, it doesn't help me diagnose the problem. 

UPDATE: Malcolm, your pointing me to Visual Logic allowed me to find some instruction videos created here during installation. So know I understand how to make the adjustments I need (and I learned Visual Logic!).

I see  @Malcolm Thorpe jhas alresady reached out with some questons and a suggestion for you. I will let the two if you continue on the path to resolve your question.

I am more concerned about your statement where a link someplace on the page you are on has sent you to a 404 error page. Can you give me some idea where you are referring to, where the link in question is? Maybe a screen grab to indicate it so I can share that with the webmaster?
