Xpression Issues after Windows 10>11 upgrade

  • 1.  Xpression Issues after Windows 10>11 upgrade

Our IT department recently upgraded our Xpression Studio, Blue Box, and Gateway to Windows 11, following the Ross notes on performing the upgrades.

Since the upgrade, we have a few scenes that no longer render like they used to, taking very long in the Preparing>Rendering stages in Remote Sequencer.  (These scenes have worked flawlessly for the three years prior to this OS upgrade)

Ross Support has updated Matrox drivers and performed other tweaks on the upgraded systems, but the problems persist.

The other oddity is Datalinq now reports errors on a link to an external .XLSX file.  Again, this worked flawlessly before the OS upgrade, we get:

Failed opening ADODB dataset.  Check connection string, and check compatibility settings in ADODB configuration.
(Parameter [Sun Set] has no default value)

Following guidance from Ross Support, some extra empty worksheets were deleted from the spreadsheet file.  The error persists.

Datalinq also after a time will get connection timeouts with other servers, specifically the Gateway.  Restarting Datalinq requires a task manager kill as exception error dialogs pop up and are not dismissible.

Again, this is new behavior since the OS upgrades.  Has anyone else out there had similar issues after a Windows 11 upgrade?

    Regards,
    Chris W.
