Hello Gerard,
Thanks for the help!
In the end it was an issue in a video file playing in the Scene Director.
After deleting all text and quad objects the file still was 'preparing'. I did a new render in from the video and after replacing it it was fixed.

Hi Hylke,
What I always do to 'debug' a scene which is causing poroblems: duplicate the scene to have a backup, than remove all content one by one and test when the scene starts to act normal. The last object you removed just before the scene started to behave normal, was most probably the one causing a problem. Knowing that, you can start investigating *why* that object was causing problems. But, as Azathoth already mentioned, sometimes it is just a corrupt scene. For us it fortunately doesn't happen too often, but it does happen.

From time to time I'll have scenes get corrupted.
What's crazy is you can duplicate a corrupted scene and it will be fine. Then you delete the corrupted one.
Makes no sense, but I've had to do this many times. BTW, I am on 9.5. Take this advice with caution.

Subject: xPression scene 'preparing'
Hello,
I have some scenes in my xPression SCE setup. Most of the scenes are working all fine but I have two scenes which are taking a lot of "preparing" time when using it in the Sequencer. The scenes are pretty simple compared to some others. Simple video background with a quad and some text. But I can't find a reason why it's taking so much preparing time. It's all running on a fast m.2 ssd. Is there a way to troubleshoot this? Can I in some way so what it's taking the preparing time? Like some debug place?
I'm running xPression 11.5, I'm not using datalinq.
The background video is exported using the xPression avi codec in 1920x1080. The same way as I did with all other scenes which are running good.
Kind regards,
Hylke Wolfkamp
