Hi. I'm trying to get a scene to run automatically on a pre-defined time - via the Scene Control and the Timecode / Automation.

I've set a timecode up in the Hardware Setup, Xpression TimeCode Generator, Free Running, System Clock, 25fps - and set to Active.
I set the the specific time on day, I can see the pre-defined time code in the columns.

In the Take Inspector Item, under scene control, I ticked off "Play at Timecode" - and a time has been set.

But nothing happens. What did I miss :)

Did you also enable Timecode/Automation for the group? Take items in the group will not trigger unless that is Active.
