Datalinq and several tabs to choose from in excel, howto?

Hi all,

I have been assigned to the following case;

I need to fill a lower third with the name (and preferably its number in a seperate textObject) of a soccerplayer from a list of around 25 names.

There are 18 teams with each around 25 players.

I have seen this been done with datalinq, template links and an excelsheet with a team with the names per tab, where in Xpression, in one template link window you could choose the team and in another template link window you would get the dropdownlist with 25 players from that team..

I’ve been trying to figure this out, but couldn’t get it working..

Could anyone help me out a bit? Tips and directions where to start and where to go would be immensely appreciated!

So I’m a bit further. I found the Datalinq tutorials on Xpression U (a knew the videos were there but they’re hard to find if you don’t use your eyes..). I am now able to pull the wanted data from an excelsheet and fill both name and jerseynr at the same time using a Datalinq key..

Next I would like to be able to choose from several tables in the excelsheet (Team1, Team2, etc..). Here’s where I’m still stuck…anyone have a good solution for that?
