Hi Jim,

That's correct - the ability to name devices was added in a newer firmware, but it does not affect your Carbonite's ability to control the Mira.

If you are using AMP to control the Mira, then port 3811 is correct. 7788 is for RossTalk, which is a different protocol.

On the Mira Engineering config > RS422 Tab, ensure that AMP over Ethernet is selected.

Tried that no joy.   My screen does not have the name field    The ross talk port on the mira says 7788 not 3811.  It won't let you change it to the 3811.
