    Hi,

I'm trying to figure some things out, so a little question:

Does Overdrive operate in Carbonite MiniME mode?

OverDrive can use a Carbonite Production switcher in an automation environment when used in conjunction with Ross Videos Caprica.

Thanx Garner, i know the need for a Caprica server. But Carbonite can run in more modes, so i try to figure out if Overdrive can control the Carbonite mixer as it is in the MiniME modes, insteads of a 2.5ME mode?

Ah I see. Carbonite must operate in 2.5ME mode for OverDrive/Caprica to control it. OverDrive requires a minimum of 2.5MEs on any switcher to control it.
If you want MineMEs AND OverDrive control of Carbonite you will need a Carbonite Black Frame.

At my last place of work we had a Vision that only had 2 ME's and was controlled by OD. It would either call up memory on ME 1 or on ME 2. If on ME 2, then ME 1's PRG source would be ME 2.
