Hi Favian,
You can do this by using the switcher's clean feed, and the clean feed will be sent to the monitors. To set up the clean feed on the switcher, go to Home/More/Setup/Installation/Outputs/Clean Feed. On the right side of the menu, dial to MLE 1, second knob to Clean Feed 1 and select "Before Key 3." This means that the clean feed will include what is on the BKG/PGM bus, key 1 and key 2. So if key 1 and 2 are on, you will see them on the clean feed. Do the same for MLE 2 as well. Press Home, then Confirm.
Now, you'll want to map the clean feeds to your bus map. Look for MLECLN1 and MLE2CLN1. Since the switcher should be set up with the MLE re-entry buttons mapped to the right side of the panel (should be right up against the "shift" button), I would put them on the shifted side of your MLE re-entry buttons.
Now you need to build two custom controls to send the correct clean feed to the monitor, as the template can cue in either MLE 1 or 2. I'll use Bank 1, Aux 1 as an example, which feeds your monitor. So you'll build a custom for sending MLE1CLN1 to 1:1, and another for MLE2CLN1 to 1:1. Also, if you haven't already, record a relative custom that only records the "Auto Trans" key on MLE3, so that you can transition in whichever MLE is on air.
On to building the effects memories. On MLE1, pick a default source each on the bkg bus and preview bus. On key 3 in MLE1, assign the camera you're using for the monitor shot, select "PST PATT", then cut on the key. Be careful not to nudge the positioner at all, as we do not want to shift the location of the DVE. You can copy this to MLE2 from MLE1 when you're done.
So now we are going to save this memory. It's important to remember that you'll need to somehow get the right clean feed into the monitor, regardless of which MLE is active. That's why you built those two customs. So when you're ready to save, go to the Global Memory keypad and press "ATTRIB," which will take you to the memory attributes menu. Go to the Custom Controls menu (F3 on the touchscreen). This will allow you to attach a custom with the memory, and you can auto-run it when the memory is recalled. So for MLE1, dial it to the custom for MLE1CLN1 in the monitor, and MLE2 to the custom for MLE2CLN1. Make sure Auto Run is selected for both MLEs (big button in the middle of the screen), then store the memories. You can test them out by recalling in MLE1 and see if the monitor sees MLE1's clean feed, and same for MLE2.
And then you can build the OD templates with these memories. I would build one for each camera, even if you don't use that camera regularly for the monitor shot (you never know when you're going to lose a camera). So, on the MLEs and Buses tab, enter the memory number, and for the bkg and pst buses, point them to "Assign Crosspoints." On Key 3, point it to the camera you want to use. I would embed the relative custom "Auto Trans" in one of the six Custom Controls slots, which will allow you to run a transition.
If you need to run a server to another source, just assign the server device to the bkg bus.
Lastly, build a set of RELATIVE customs that will allow you to assign different sources to the PST bus. You can build as many or as little as you want. Then embed these customs into your monitor clean feed template when you code your show, or populate them in a tab in the Quick Recalls Customs section of your Rundown Control. You can then change the source in your PST bus when the template is on air, then hit the "Auto Trans" custom to take it to air.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you require any further assistance.
Ian
