The graphic elements you see in the rundown are graphic specific commands. When they are green, they are prepared on the cg, and when they are red, the are sent to the output of the Xpression. Usually, the graphic element comes before the Overdrive template, because without the graphic on the output, you won't see it when the template is prepared on the switcher. That being said, if there is an animation on the OTS that does some sort of play on effect, you might reverse the order of elements in order to see the effect.
Sounds like you already have things in the proper order. Does the effect not appear consistently? Do you not see the OTS on the template in any way?
