I'm trying to build a custom control to bring CG1 on with a wipe. That turned out fine. However, when I try to perform the wipe with audio automation enabled, I lose all of the audio that is currently on-air.

I tried building the wipe with remote enables turned off on the switcher and the audio board disabled in overdrive, but that didn't help.

    Thanks,

Not quite understanding what you're trying to do and how. My guess.. a custom control that keys your "CG1" on a down stream keyer to what is in preview and also adds the audio channel of CG1 to what's in preview?

Well, here's what's going on. This one custom control I built was to only wipe on CG1 (with a color matte) over they existing program. Here's the sequence I have in the custom control:

    MLE Rate

    MLE Rate 15

    Trans Type

    Pattern #10

    KeyOvr Trans

    Key1 Trans

    Auto Trans

    END

The funny thing is, I use custom controls during our sports segments to fire DVE transitions, and never lose audio.

hmm. i'm not familair with the "keyOvr Trans" you stated. But if it's just adding a keyer to the MLE that's already on air then it shouldn't kill any audio. Have you ran the CC from the switcher as apposed from OD? And if so does it still kill the audio?
