  • 1.  modify an Xpression MOS event, after it's been created?

Is it possible to modify an Xpression MOS event, once it's been created?

We typically dump blank CG events into a rundown and enter in text later. That doesn't seem possible in Inception. I double click on a created event, expecting it to open, and nothing happens.

Also, we have Chinese subtitles and I will add coding for font changes later for the English text... I don't want to have to be copying and pasting Chinese characters into a new CG event, because I can't see if I made a mistake.

    Thanks!

Yes, you just double click the mos item in the story, and it should open the plugin. There is an Update Story button in the xpression plugin you click when you are done your edit.
You must then Save the story in inception.

    Hello,

It's definitely possible to edit a MOS object after it's been added to a story in Inception. When the Inception story editor is open, double click on the MOS object you want to edit and it will open in the appropriate plugin - in this case XPression. Make the necessary edits and then click the "Update Story" button in the XPression plugin. This will update the MOS object in the Inception story. Click the save button or use Ctrl+S to save the changes in the Inception story.

Let me know if you need additional information.

    Thanks,

    Jenn

I was double clicking on the MOS object and it was not opening. However I can open the Xpression plugin to create MOS objects, so it is working somewhat on my computer. I will let IT/engineering handle this then.

Please let your IT/Engineering team know they can reach out at Tech Support at any time and we can help troubleshoot this issue. Which version of Inception are you using and what Web browser?

    Thanks,
