There is a user permission that can prevent this in the future. If you look in the configuration menu under Manage Roles and Permissions, in the Running Order section there is a permission for Delete Running Order. Only users with this permission will have the ability to delete running orders. There is also a pop up dialog box that asks a user to confirm if they actually want to delete the running order.
There is currently no way to recover the content. This is an improvement on our roadmap.
