  • 1.  Formatting Excel Data for Election

    Xpression 10.5 build 5520...

    Using Datalinq to pull election data from Excel spreadsheet. Everything is working just fine. 

    After digging through posts, I'm still trying to resolve two items in terms of displaying data: 

    1. Getting the comma into position for total votes. I've tried VB but my knowledge of Ross is only a few weeks in. After some research, tried Format Float, but not sure that's right. At least, my number in and number out neither have commas so I've done something wrong. 

    2. Converting percentage values from Excel that appear in their original decimal number to display a percentage. 

    Much appreciation for the awesome community here. I've learned a lot.

    I can answer your first question.
    I put the following code in the OnSetText tab of every text object that needs commas:
    text=FormatNumber(Text, 0)
