Production Workflow

Having issue with our graphic performance with we run 2 newscast at the same time.  Our graphic performance slow down and it jitter in/out.  When this happens, I noticed the performance indicator is at around 80-100% and it when both newscast have their Full Screen online.  When one side takes their full screen offline, performance drops down to about 50%, when both sides have their full screens offline, performance is about 20%.  We are working with 1 studio and 1 gateway and the remote sequencer are split into 4 channels,  channels 1,2 in one room and 3,4 in the other room.  Is there anything I can get my IT to do to fix the solution?

Performance issues on XPression can only be resolved by changing the graphics templates or balancing playout differently. There isn't anything your IT can do to change this.

If you are running a 4 channel XPression system and dividing it between two newscasts/control rooms, you will need to make sure your graphics package is designed to operate as a 4 channel package. 

It sounds like your full screens are using the most performance for your playout. Are your full screens using full frame video files? Is it possible to crop the video files so they are not full frame? Or design the effects natively in XPression without using video files? Or can the video files be re-transcoded at a lower bitrate?
