I'm pleased to share some great news, Media I/O v9 is now available! This release marks a significant milestone and brings along key enhancements that you've been asking for. The release is available starting today for all customers on an eligible maintenance plan.
One of the standout features of v9 is the new installation wizard. This simplifies the setup and upgrade process, eliminating the need for manual file copying and reducing the chances of errors. It's a small change, but it makes a big difference in terms of user experience. And something your engineering teams will truly appreciate.
Another notable addition is the introduction of Windows Services. This allows our applications to run in the background without the need for user intervention. It's a practical improvement that enhances the reliability and ease of use of Media I/O servers.
Other features in this release include support for NDI 5, HEVC MXF, and qualification against MacOS Sonoma.
As always, Media I/O remains the go-to solution for flexible ingest and playout. With support for a wide range of industry codecs and I/O options including SDI, NDI, 2110, and other IP-based transports, it offers unmatched versatility at an affordable price point.
