    Hello

Working with Overdrive, we have new Carbonite Ultra60 switchers and Caprica server.

Trying to control Carbonite Ultra60 MediaStore (stills) within Overdrive.  We did setup a device in Overdrive for "internal stillstore".

We created a master template using this device on a PGM bus of floating ME.  But when we edit the master template in rundown, we don't have access to the still in the switcher.  When we clic on "browse", no folders are shown on the left panel.  In Caprica, there's a port configurated for the switcher.  We are able to control the swither with Overdrive (loading memories, running custom controls, cuting on buses).  Is there a config somewhere so Overdrive can read the drive of the Carbonite for media store ?

    Thanks

    Nik

    Hi Nick,

I have a similar setup with OD and and Ultra 60. To work with media store stills, I'll build a custom control on the Carb60 to recall the desired still then in Caprica create a custom control with a command from the Switcher category called Carbonite CC where you can select a custom built on the switcher to run.

Something that puts all the effort on the Caprica side instead of building in two different places is to use a RossTalk port. The message would look like -  "XPT AUX:1:MS:5"

If you want to use the clip player, you could send a RossTalk TypeInCommand to send the "CLIPLOAD" command to the Carbonite and a CLIPPLAY command to load and play all natively within Caprica without needing to jump back and forth between platforms.

This also works great if you use the MediaStores to feed monitors because they do not show up as inputs in Caprica.
