Hello Burkhard,
Targeting a Project will show you projects rather than media or assets. When you click on the project, it will filter the list on the left to just that project. This is particularly helpful when you have a lot of projects, and need to quickly filter down to projects that may mean something to you.
If you want to see all of your projects in the projects window, you can perform a blank search (the magnifying glass to the right of "Projects" and it will make all of the projects visable again.
