Hi Nick,
Going from a Carbonite 24 to a Carbonite Ultra 60, you can either;
(A) keep your existing input assignments and simply expand upward, or
(B) redesign the entire input map to take full advantage of the Ultra 60's capacity.
Keeping the old numbering offers a faster, low-impact migration and preserves your existing OverDrive templates.
Redesigning the layout provides a cleaner long-term structure but requires much more work due to having to update OverDrive's Button Map, Device Templates, and any Master Templates that reference crosspoints.

Subject: Switching Carbonite 24 to Carbonite 60
Hi.
We are changing our Carbonite Ultra24 to a Carbonite Ultra60.
The 24 is already running in production room with Overdrive. Obviously inputs won't be at the same places on the new switcher.
Just need some advices / guidance to proceed to the switch.
What would be best practice to do that kind of switch to minimise the work of rebuilding stuff...
Thanks
