There's definitely a lot of this stuff on the forum. I'll find some links.

I have done a little bit of scripting before. I tried to do some scripting for this using the OnSetText but it isn't giving me the results I am seeking.

You want to do data driven graphics.
You'll either need to use visual logic or I'd actually say scripting is easier for this.
Have you scripted in XPression?

Subject: Text Animation via Scene Director upon Datalinq (xml) update
I am hoping to animate old text off, and new text on when the value within an xml file (that is datalinq'd) is changed. For example, if we had a scorebug on-air and a team scores, have the 0 animate off, and the 1 animate on when the data for it changes in the xml.
I have already built the scene directors to do the desired animations, but getting them to run (and run properly) when the data changes has eluded me.
I have done some searching on this topic but haven't found the appropriate solution.
Any guidance on this would be appreciated.
Thanks!
