Stephen, I'm not an expert (and not in front of a system), but watch this video and see if the drag/drop method can work for you? https://www.rossvideo.com/gallery/create-custom-panels-using-drag-drop/ If not, hopefully someone more qualified can help you out! #DashBoard

I have a large Town Meeting coming up at the end of this month where 150 elected town reps are able to come up to a microphone at any moment to ask questions, debate, etc. I'm trying to figure out a way, using Dashboard to bring a graphic to air for those people. The data is DataLinq'd from an Excel ...

Actually I think I figured out a way on my own. It appears that if you turn DataLinq off at the end of the game, everything will hold it's last known data! Then when you relaunch DataLinq, it all updates again. #XPression

Thanks so much! We have an Ultra, and the panels weren't in that dimension download, so I didn't try the other switcher variants! #Carbonite

Can anyone point to where the panel dimensions are on the website? I know they're on there somewhere because the paperwork that came with my system told me to look there, but for the life of me, I can't find it anywhere! (And links from other posts here are no longer valid.) I'm sure I'm just missing ...

Does anyone know if it is possible to "freeze" the text from a DataLinq source? We are running into an issue where we still have our "Final Score" graphic in when the operators inside the stadium(s) turn their systems off and everything resets to 0. This is embarrassing, obviously, since no one at home ...

I didn't even think of straight DataLinq support, that's even better than native Excel!! #DashBoard

Hello, I'm trying to get a shot clock for basketball to appear in the last 10 seconds of the shot time. I am connected to the Daktronics scoreboard on the court, so I'm trying to automate as much as I can. I have set up some visual logic to trigger the in and out scene directors for the scoreboard, but ...

Oh, will that play the out-animations? I will give it a shot, thanks for the response! #XPression

Tonight I did a last-minute gig with a bunch of lower thirds, all from a single template for different music acts. I set up the in/out on our new Stream Deck using the RossTalk and RossTalk XPression plugins (which are awesome btw), but I ran into a small issue and I'm wondering if there's a way around ...

Yeah, I just started a new panel with a "read" button, a "write" button and a string that I could read and write from. Now I'm just trying to get James' code from his original response to work and grow it from there, instead of starting for a complex, fully functioning GUI and trying to test things while ...

Hi James! I'm back to trying XML (sorry...), but I'm having some trouble getting it to work out. Here's my XML again: 1 John Doe QB 5'10" 165 JR 2 James Doe RB/LB 5'10" 150 SR ...

You're absolutely right, I'm totally trying to run. I'm actually going to step back from both of these projects for a little bit and try something simpler. But to answer your question, I am getting the player data from an online source, but it's Single-A baseball, so that data is notoriously incorrect, ...

Thanks, James and Amanda. I still haven't given up on either XML or CSV, but it never hurts for all the products to match as much as possible, right? Learning how to do it right is still a good goal though! And James, I appreciate all your help over and over and over! #DashBoard

Sorry to bump an old thread, but if you haven't done it yet, Teresa, you could add an invisible text field to your template and link that to the jersey field and call the player based on that...I think? I'm very interested in this number-based approach over the giant long list in XPression, although ...

Project Outline: I'm trying to create a panel that can run the graphics for a baseball game. Nine batters per team in the lineup and the result of their at-bat, plus two pitchers that will have some simple stats tracked as the game goes on. There are no season-stats tracked, so it's just what I can track ...

So I'm a graphics guy. I'm pretty good with logic, and I can do some basic code, but the amount of coding required to get data in or out of Dashboard is still really twisting my brain around. I would love to put in an official feature request for Dashboard to handle Excel the way XPression/Datalinq ...

Hi all, I'm trying to create a button mask so I can make some toggle-able bases for baseball. It's silly to make them diamond-shaped instead of just square, but it's a fun learning opportunity too! I couldn't find any info here on the forum or through the Dashboard U videos search. I tried a white ...
