Hello all, In addition to my previous question I have run into another obstacle which seems to me to be a bug in XPression? I'm using a group inside the sequencer which will play in loop and will show Election-results. To make my life a little bit easier, I have used a Datalinq-key to specify the ...

Hi Brian, The texture settings are set to 3072Mb. I am using the API where I'm generating takeitems which are then being placed in a group in the sequencer and triggered from there in order to be able to use the Transition Logic, using the xpBaseTakeItem.Cue() and xpBaseTakeItem.Execute(). ...

Attached you'll find a screenshot showing the behaviour. The strange thing is that I'm not getting any notification of no more space available or something like that, it just keeps repeating the same picture for a little while. #XPression

For some reason it's not clearing them properly I think. I know the cache is full when I start seeing the same picture all the time. WhenI then goto look in XPression the Memory-meter next to the performance meter is in the 90%. It doesn't clear the cache automatically. The pictures are ...

Hello, I'm running into an issue with a project I'm working on right now. I'm using the XPression as a sort of Social Media wall and we're having to display a massive amount of pictures. But after a while the memory gets full and I have to clear the Texture Cache to be able to continue. ...

Hi Cam, As far as I know there is no Do-While loop in XPression. But luckily you don't need it for what you're trying to accomplish. You can use another method for creating an animation like this. You need to add three textfields to your scene: "¢ One which will have the starting-amount in ...

Thank you @redmile for your suggestion. I actually have never tried the waveform but I'll have a go with it! #XPression

Hi, Is it possible that when the scale of an object is being modified using a continuous animation, that the value is not being refreshed inside Visual Logic? For example, I have a quad on which I have put a continuous animation on the X-scale. When I look in VL, the value of the X-Scale ...

Hello all, I have a somewhat technical question related to the graphics cards. Last weekend I finished the build of a new XPression rig which is actually an exact copy of an earlier rig I built a few weeks ago. That rig is based on an ASUS Z270-motherboard, combined with an I7 7700K processor, ...

@malthepal, thanks for the suggestion. I was trying something similar but where I was using a value to multiply the position of the scenedirector in order to make the condition false, but that results in a "flicker" because the condition alternates between true and false all the time. #XPression

Hi Redmile, The video is variable in length yes but that is not really an issue because I can put the duration in the scene as a hidden textfield, but your suggestion would have the problem that it get fired multiple times because the condition stays true. #XPression

Hello all, I'm trying to set up a logic that will fire my Scene Director once my remaining video duration goes below 25 frames. That on itself is not difficult and I have that working. However, once the remaining time on my video goes below 25 frames it will continuously fire my Scene Director ...

Hello Jerrylu, Natively I don't think it's possible but you can certainly get it to work using Visual Logic or scripting. You would then create a dummy text object which is invisible in your scene, but where you could use the textvalue inside visual logic to select the correct material ...

Do you have the Word-Wrap enabled in your textfield? Because I have had issues too when trying to do more or less the same with the wordwrap enabled. But in my case it was putting the words somewhere else in the textfield. I would have to look how I solved that. #XPression

I don't think it's possible to achieve this with visual logic. With Visual Basic it is quite easy to do. I'm not used to programming VB anymore but from the top of my head this would be the syntax. dim objTxt as xpTextObject dim fntNormal as xpFont dim fntHashtag as xpFont ' GET THE ...

Well in my case I needed to determine an offset to my bar so that my textobject always stays inside the bar. TO determine that offset I needed the width of "0% ", but without actually putting it in the textfield. In the api there's a function called xpTextObject.getTextWidth("string to determine ...

I would like to second Brian in this. I'm used to use the API for just about anything, but recently I started using VL to do exactly what you are trying to do. In my case I was building some voting graphics with bars moving up and down with a textfield attached to the bar that had to move ...
