Hi, Despite i have read all the thread I still can't understand and get it achieved. My gradient mask is applied as a non-gradient mask for some reason. Can anyone list required conditions to make it working. The simple case: two objects in a SceneGroup - a quad as a background and a gradient mask, ...

Hi, Could anyone tell me if MC1 system is configurable in such a way that when a user switches on \"preset\" or \"program\", he switches on D3 and D4, while MC1 board is connected to D1 and D2 and performs all the switches as usual? So the actual switch would always look like S1-D1-A-PGM ...

Tue, try to save the txt file with Unicode coding. Also, make sure the font in XPression you use does contain the Danish outstanding characters. #XPression

Chris, please check if in the scene the quad you mean is published. Go to XPression machine where the project is loaded, find the scene, select your quad, open Template Links tab in Object Inspector and look for "Publish" check box, and also make sure its material is published as well. #XPressi ...

Edit: See Brian Ford's answer below. Besides, you can script Scene Director's state and jump on timeline to different moments where your camera has different position. Also you can animate your camera so that it jumps to another position. Moreover, you can script a camera's position ...

I would suggest to subgroup and to make your mask and the rest of objects dispart within a group. #XPression

In Layout GUI go to Object Manager, find your camera, right-click and choose PerspCamera --> Set As Active. Also, as a variant, you can select your camera, go to Object Inspector and on Camera tab in Flags area check as Active. #XPression

Yes Bryan, there is. You need to use Layer Object. Include your mask and objects to mask as sub-elements of a Layer Object. This is a new feature of just released version 4.0 of XPression. #XPression

I would suggest to program a custom control macro for that. The idea is to assign CG source to, say, Key4, then set Key4 onair, at the same time to trigger the GPI and to do the Cut transition. I assume you have a GPO setting configured to send a command to XPression ...

I am afraid there is not, as the GPI is what it is. While composing your custom control macro on Vision you do need to mind all delays and to insert pauses. If the delay is too big please consult the techsupport. Also, are you trying to send two GPI commands at once? In order to start two graphics ...

Hello Vincent, XPression and an external controlling application are considered to be absolutely independent, though the both do use the same com object. It is only your responsibility of how you use the API of XPression. Closing a controlling application should NOT clear framebuffers. If it does, ...

If I understand you right Forogh, you are talking about a delay of live video shader in XPression. Then it is some 7 frames. #XPression

Are your pauses supposed to be released manualy by an operator, or they are auto-released in definite amounts of frames? #XPression

My guess is you tried to play items in the group, while you need to double-click on the group's header - in order to start the whole group. #XPression

Matt, if you need a next take item to start just after the current one goes off then organize the items into a Sequencer's group and run it in the Timed (Per Item) mode, - as Vincent advises. Just make sure your scene's duration is what you'd like, that is as long as from the beginning till the last ...

I can suggest to use masking. This way you have to separate your text objects and background in different scenes, with masks been looking like quads and animated above your text lines - one by one. Moreover, the mask can be a bit gradient in its left ending, not solid. Even if your text is dynamic ...

Currently, if you use one of the latest sw versions, you don't need to bother about the focus. If a take item has pauses inside it will stay focused until the last pause is triggered. Forget about "Enter" button, just press "+" on your numeric pad. #XPression
