Nevermind. I figured it out. You set the value of the dot to the hex color value (i.e. "") and it updates accordingly. I was looking at outdated documentation. #DashBoard

Hi, I'm messing around with Dashboard trying to setup a way to have one dashboard monitor another via rosstalk commands and status dot parameters. I tried looking around and I don't really see a whole lot of documentation on how they work as far as setting the values and colors of the dots. Any idea ...

Ah, thanks James! I think the .connectTo() method is more of what I'm looking for. Is there possibly another method just to update the host and port? It looks like the .connectTo() method immediately starts the connection on top of updating the host and port. Thanks! #DashBoard

Hmmm... Here's an interesting discovery.... I stepped through the debugger and pulled the 'str' variable out and pasted it into a new dashboard panel. I added in my function and the parameters manually and it still didn't work. BUT, when I went to the task and separated out the code with line breaks ...

Hey James, Thanks for the response. Hmmm... the problem may be deeper than that then. It looks like my code is correct but for some reason the value won't update. var i = 0; var tot = params.getValue('numListeners', 0); var x = 16; var str = ''; var posY = 0; while (i \ \ \ ogscript.debug(\'new ...

Hi, I'm working on a Dashboard that communicates to a variable number of record decks via AMP. I'm trying to make the script modular enough that I can select the amount of decks and have it populate the Dashboard with the appropriate number of buttons for each deck. I'm able to populate the Dashboard ...

Noted. Thanks James for the different options! I haven't messed with the larger font setting but that seems like that will be a good temp fix for now. #DashBoard

Hi, I'm building out a custom Dashbaord and I'm trying to make the UI elements rather large and easy to use with a touchscreen. I've noticed that when I try to set the font size and style of a listbox it does not affect the text within it. Is this a bug maybe? The background color works but it seems ...

Hi, I was wondering if there was a quick way to reference a task that is assigned to a different button in a new button so I wouldn't have to keep repeating code. Is this possible?

So, I've got it working minus trying to pass parameters to the function. This code works fine, not passing any parameters, but defeats the purpose of making it a function. function doFade() ( //var channel = 1; var iterations = 25; var time = 5; var currLevel = params.getValue("testFader", ...

Hi, I'm trying to build a Dashboard where I'm triggering an external mixer using OSC commands via TCP/IP. I'm able to send commands without issue, but I was just wondering if there was a way I could insert in a sleep function between commands I sent to the server to be able to do fade transitions up/down ...

Hmmm... I think I may have found a bug? I made a custom control on the Carbonite that fires a play command to the 3Play, has a Hold, and then fires a stop command, essentially making a toggle button to pause the 3play. It works fine when I trigger it on the Carbonite, but when I trigger it via ...

Ah, okay. Thanks Troy. I had a feeling it might not be so easy after doing a few google searches and coming up empty handed. CC through the Carbonite should be suffice for now. #DashBoard

Hi, I'm looking at messing with AMP commands between Dashboard and our 3Play 4800. I know that the Carbonite can connect to the 3Play 4800 to play and stop channels and I was wondering if there was a way I could translate that over to dashboard somehow to create buttons to play and stop ...

Hi Brian, So I've finally had time to mess with the Rosstalk GPI triggering in xpression, I just have a question. I got it to work, it fires a message to my TCP server, but for some reason every few seconds I get a message from Xpression with the content of 'noop'. Do you know why this ...

Hi Brian, thanks! I actually am using Xpression 5.9. I was planning on using RossTalk for it so I could trigger a listen server I setup in Python. #XPression

Hi, Is there a way I can fire a GPI via rosstalk when I take a scene? The scenario is: I want to trigger an application I made to automate a task when I specific scene in xpression is taken.
