Hello, I'm looking for simple scripting that can be assigned a hot key to do the following on the active scene in layout mode: Toggle on/off a specific object in object manager by object/node name (GRID) So when the hot key is pressed, it should turn visibility on/off on GRID node in current ...

Hi Taylor, Thanks for your swift reply. Seriously? No such thing as "right click + delete" on a clip in the browser? That would make so much sense and be so user friendly. I'm surprised this feature isn't part of the browser. I went into the Clip Store Manager as you directed, but none of my ...

Thank you for this detailed and clear explanation. I'll give it a try. I need to have the HSL (orRGB) of the diffuse light to change over time on a scene director, moving from one value to another for a specified length of time. I'll download your project and take a look. For now, I used two lights and ...

Hi, I use a directional light bound to a specific material to create a 'dim down' effect by keyframing an alpha change on the light. I now need to control the HSL of that "dim down" effect and I can't figure out how to do this. Unfortunately, the material that needs to "dim down" to a specific ...

Hi Vinz, Thanks for these photos of the VL - they are really helpful. I have the color change working but I need to take it two steps further and I'm not sure of the steps: 1. When both values are equal, no color change (currently it is going to the highlight color, which I don't want) ...

Hello, I have election graphics that we are populating via datalinq. I would like to add visual logic to scene for the following: 1. Change the higher value of two text objects (that are datalinqed) to a different color 2. Change the visibility of a quad based on a letter typed into ...

I have text scenes that need options for accents (like ~, umlaut, etc.). This is no problem on the scene side using ASCII codes, but I can't get ASCII codes to work on the sequence side. We don't want to make a new scene every time we have text with an accent. Solutions anyone? Thanks!

I have a clock widget that counts down and ends with a sound effect. It is currently set up with visual logic to trigger the sound effect and ctl+1 to start it. Is there a way to render this scene as a quicktime? I'm guessing I need to add something to the scene to get it to autostart on export? Thanks ...

That is an interesting approach. I'll have to try it and see what happens. It depends on how long the loop is, as it might cause too much of a delay in cuing for this project which requires some perfect timing. I was hoping there was some online script or something that could address a jump to a certain ...

I have two clips (each with a 3-point loop in material) that I need to play back-to-back seamlessly on a cue. The trick is, once the first clip is into it's loop, I will need to cue the second clip so that the frame of the online loop is on matches the first frame of the incoming clip. A dissolve won't ...

Oh so easy!! Thanks Vinz - works perfectly. Now, just curious. Is there a way to play a scene director on a countdown timer when the value=0? #XPression

Thanks Vinz, the playrange useful down the road. However, I have a separate scene director that contains my audio 'ding'. I'm using a counter widget that I increment on-air and each time it increments I need to trigger that scene director. I can get it to trigger on the first increment using the simple ...

I tried what is below and it works for the first 'ding' but I need to really have it 'ding' on each increment. I just don't know the proper script for 'ding on each increment'. I'm sure it is very simple, but scripting isn't my forte. Help me learn, please. dim sd as xpSceneDirector ...

Hello, I need to attach a sound effect to a counter widget so it triggers every time I increment the counter. Is this possible? Thanks in advance.

Brian, is there a way to add a script to the timeline to trigger the counter? I need to render the scene as a .mov with the counter counting. Thanks #XPression
