Xpression crashes when using 3D object

Hi, I'm having a recurring problem when using a 3D object in a scene. In Layout mode, everything works great. In Sequence mode, it crashes. I keep getting "preparing" in the state box once I trigger the scene then the program freezes. Has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks Vincent & Kenneth. I think I got it to work... didnt even know you could create a mask in the material manager. Do you guys know of any free tutorial out there that can explain how to do these kind of things... without having to pay for an instructor or expensive DVD training? is there a manual ...

How do you create and use a mask in xpression? I want to apply a cradient mask to a picture so that the picture fades out from opaque to transparent. Please help.

Cool, thanks. Just realized the video was created at 29.978. I had to re-export out of AE at 59.97 and run through Video Coder at that same rate. Now Xpression is running the video correctly. #XPression

Hi, I'm using Xpression 5.0. When I import video clips (after ecoding with Xpression Video Coder) into Xpression, they playback at twice the speed. So, a 15 sec clip plays back at just over 7 sec. I check the settings in Video Coder and tried different frame rates and they all still playback at ...

Thanks Andrew, The second issue was a datalinq field problem. So, I changed that to static text and all is well. The first issue is still a problem. I'm creating completely new text/font with just a color and no materials applied. Is there a way to check to see if a material is applied ...

I'm trying to use audio in a graphic element and I'm using a wav file by importing a wav and dragging it to the audio track in the timeline. The audio sounds like loud static. What am I doing wrong? is there a procedure for encoding a wav file using xpression encoder? please help.
