I want to pause a keyframe animation but when I insert a pause on the scene director, it also pauses the video that loops behind it. How can I just pause my animation? I hope it's not through visual logic but somehow I think it is!

I'm setting templates up to update Facebook responses live as they happen - connecting through xml files in Datalinq. I cannot find a video that shows the best way to do that. I do know how to select and add an xml through datalinq but I'm anticipating snags. Where can I find a good instruction on xml ...
