I tried using another USB flash drive, and that worked. Put the old one back in, and it still didn't work, so I reformatted the flash drive. After that, it works as it should! My guess is that the flash drive got corrupted when a faculty member, not knowing to use the FTP, just swapped flash drives, ...

I bought one of those BMD HDMI => HD-SDI converters, and it would not work. I got a Decimator cross converter which works fine taking mini-display port out of a Mac laptop => HDMI adapter => Decimator => HD-SDI input of the switcher. This allows us to put Skype into the switcher. #Carbonite
