The Click Effects MLBAM plug-in simply pulls an XML file from MLBAM's servers and parses it. If you've got a contact that could give you the raw web address of the XML it's pulling from, you can accomplish the same result with DataLinq. #XPression

It is doable without the gateway ... granted you'll need someone with programming experience. I ended up using the comma separated values part of the TVI and parsing it into my own program and then using the API to do what I wanted with it. I assume you're specifically asking about the TVI laptop ...
