Ther has been no change in the connections - 1 network port is in use and we have rebooted everything related - Carbonite, Computer and network switch Egil #Carbonite

...mostly out. When it reconnects after a while it just drops out again after a few seconds. Connection with other item, Blackstorm, from same computer or other computer on same network is stable. Also Media Manager works fine without glitches. Pinging Carbonite from computer is lossless even when connection ...

Fade In Roll with solid background

We want to make a Credit roll over a "solid" background. The background will not fade in even though it is set to do that in the Transition part. Any ideas?

Did a bit more research on this now and what appears to happen is that the element in question enters the playlist in Dashboard, but is not actually entered in the "physical" playlist on Blackstorm.

Yes The answer is that the folders only will show up if there are files in them that Blackstorm accepts as useable for playout - IE right format and audio Regards Egil

The students here at University of Stavanger is trying to produce some tga-sequences to put into Media player in Carbonite, and some other for use as Video material in XPression. It seems rather impossible to get the alpha of these sequences to be detected in either of the target machines even ...

And another tip while we're at it: Using the Media Manager to import the clips is often veeeeeeryyyyyy slooooooooow Instead we use ftp with FileZilla directly from editing suite(s) wich is much, much, faster (Ref Page 5-13 in the manual)

The clips and their containing folder will only show up if Blackstorm is fully satisfied with the file format and content. Even if the video is correct, a thing like the audio not being OK, IE Uncompressed, is enough to make the clip not appear, and the folder will not show up either unless other ...
