Hi, I would like to try and get some clarity on the expected behaviour as you fill the media store ID's on a Carbonite+. With a fresh config, the mixer will start at 1, and populate upwards in order. Once you reach 999, should the Media ID's still continue to increase to 1000 and beyond, or should ...

Hi Les, It's 5 digits if you count the preceding 1. Cheers James ------------------------------ James Sladen ------------------------------

Hi Les, Thank you very much for your rapid response. I have left a shortcut for the web based Media Manager for the operators so that have a choice of which version to use. I also have the Virtual Panel up and running, Thank you. As soon as I read your response I remembered reading that in the notes, ...

Hi Les, I have just updated our Carbonite+ to the current v15 on the website, and I've found a few issues, and I wanted to check if there were expected? 1) All of the user button assignments are now incorrect. I have had to fix this for every set we have saved on the mixer. Was this expected? ...

Hi Les, Thank you for responding. As the Dashboard Panel interface is communicating with the panel over IP, there must be a way of doing it. A quick look at wireshark shows that when you make a change it is posting to /meta/bayeux, containing a json array with a ping command in it, along ...

Hi James, I'm just wondering if you'd had a chance to take my question to the Carbonite team, as they've still not responded to the query I put in the Carbonite Section. Cheers James #DashBoard

Hi James, Thank you for posting back. I've still had no response in the Carbonite forum. I've given the Parameter Inspector a go, and as suspected, they don't show much useful inside the Virtual Panel. The Panel Editor also doesn't do anything in either the Virtual Panel, or the Carbonite ...

Hi, I've tried asking this in the Carbonite thread and not had any response, so I'm trying again here: I was wondering if there was anyway of configuring the Carbonite Tally Outputs from within a dashboard script? I know that I can use the Dashboard 'Panel' interface to do it, but I would ...

Hi, I was wondering if there was anyway of configuring the Carbonite Tally Outputs from within a dashboard script? I know that I can use the Dashboard 'Panel' interface to do it, but I would like to automate it to follow some router Outputs. I have some monitors that take GPI Tallies, ...

Hi Dave, Thank you for sending this over. I think for straight forwardness I'm going to need to end up with 1 'MASTER' server panel, that provides data for many different grid files, so that I only have to keep one server tab open. I think the fun part will be going through all the grid ...

Hi Dave, Thank you, that was a lot simpler than I expected. I made a test xml file, copied the headers, then dumped the params section into it, and pointed the original panel at the xml. Appears to work nicely now. I shall have to investigate doing it on some other panels I've written. ...

Hi Dave, The Data doesn't have to be saved inside the panel, I just built it like that as that's what I know how to do. I think it could be safely stored in an xml or json in the same folder if required. Making the save data always be up to date, and not allowing the user the option to forget ...

Hi, I have a dashboard panel that saves some data inside its self. Is there a way to get the panel to trigger saving its own grid file, or to get dashboard to save the grid file at the end of of running a function? Many Thanks James

At the moment, I have a lack of MiniME's to use for that. I've already got 2 downstream of ME2 doing overlays as it is. I'm having a conversation at the moment to try and get them to agree what they want, and if there are any facilities I can remove to free up resources. As a rough idea, ...

Hi Les, Thank you for the explanation. I assume it's a little late in the day to ask if it would be possible to make the Media Wipe on the Clean a selectable option? I have always in preference used a DSK to realise the wipes, as it makes them more flexible, but I'm now running a little ...

Hi Les, That is what I feared for the media Wipe Keyer, I might try adding a cut at the same frame into the macro, and see if that is clean enough to not need to set the preset, as I know some of the directors won't be able to get on with that. With the Clean Feed, do I then read it correctly, ...

HI, I have a few queries about the using Media Wipes on a Carbonite Plus. Since 13.0.2 you can now choose the Keyer level at which a Media Wipe is applied. Firstly: If you use a Clean Feed Output set to the same Keyer level, will the Clean feed have the Wipe on or not? And Secondly: ...

Hi jbins, When you say it doesn't always work on the first run, do you mean the saving or the restoring? Do you have a copy of the panel that you can send me that has the 4 digits in as well? I've never encountered this with my setup. Lastly, which IP<>NK interface are you using? ...

Hi Jbins, If you are still having any issues, then it might be worth reading through the panel I wrote to save and restore snapshots from a NK router. It might give you some pointers that might help get you up and running. https://discussions.rossvideo.com/forum/default-forum-gc1/dashb ...

Hi Nick, We had the same issue with a 3G72. After the firmware fix from Ross we still had issues, and had to replace a controller board as well. I would suggest you email Ross support in the first instance to get the firmware fix. While we were working on getting this solved I wrote a dashboard ...
