Good point Les, I hadn't considered a Mini downstream of 'PGM' bus. I do always have any switcher set to MiniME mode, so plenty of resources. I was thinking about wanting the physical stripe of the 'final' ME in front of me, but for the sole purpose of pushing 'PGM' back to a box, I can totally be comfortable ...

Gotcha. Yeah, if I was on 3 or 4 full ME switchers as a regular thing I'm sure I'd go that way. It's pretty confining on a 2 stripe panel though. Which is why you said at the outset "luxury to lose a ME". :) So my problem is not enough luxury! lol Anyone with Grass or Sony experience know if there's ...

So that I'm clear - in your example ME PGM would be the same as ME4? So your Xpression keys and bug are in ME3 and the only thing ME4 (aka PGM) is doing is flying key 2 to reveal the extra boxes alongside a complete "PGM" show? ------------------------------ Bob Woodhead Johns Creek United States ...

Every so often I get the request to fly back PGM into a multi-box arrangement and continue cutting PGM in the one box (other boxes have announce, whatever). Instead of changing cutting cameras to another ME (eg; ME2 instead of ME3 (aka PGM)), I have the PGM box on ME2 use ME3BG as fill source. Other ...

Yes, so easy! Just set a hard limit of 5 characters. It'd been so long I forgot that was there. Thanks! ------------------------------ Bob Woodhead Johns Creek United States ------------------------------

Novice Xpression user, modifying a project I built during training. Project took user text input, converted to time format, did some stuff, then spit out a countdown time. Works great except if the user added a line return in the published target time input. So I'm looking to constrain user input, preferably ...

I was testing the load on a Black, but don't know about the other Carbonites (got the set from another TD and was going to load it in a mobile). I did just find out the destination should actually already be loaded with the mems, so no longer an issue. Still curious as to the potential for loading ...

Have a switcher set from a 3 ME Carbonite that I need to load onto a 2 ME. In loading mems from set, I see that no surprise, what should be a ME 3 mem is loading on ME 2. Ideas? Thanks. ------------------------------ Bob Woodhead ------------------------------

As installed, Matrox DSXLE4/8/100F configured for 4 Fill/Key outputs. Trying to add an input channel for live mapping. But in Matrox DSX Framebuffer setup page, when trying to add a Fill input, it adds a line in red "Fill input: exceeds device capacity". Also tried deleting all outputs in the I/O ...

Thanks for adding, Les. It's not a big deal, just saves steps cleaning up CCs after recording. ------------------------------ Bob Woodhead ------------------------------

Looked everywhere but cannot find a location in the menu to assign an internal source (eg; ME4PGMA) to an Aux. Menu page 115 lets you assign external BNC sources but not internal. Want to create cleaner macros without the panel buttons recorded and w/o deleting them later. Thanks! ----------- ...

Was updating a user button, and noticed that Row 1 and Row 2 don't begin at the same position (left-right) on the panel, and as a result I don't know where buttons 17-24 are in Row 1. Row 1 in Dashboard starts with Key 1 which on the panel this corresponds to physical button #9 (going left-right). ...

It's an Ultra, I could send version tomorrow. Though if there's no way to create a new default set or have a fast CC to input the values, software version won't matter I think. We have brand colors that are frequently used for borders, etc, hence my interest in an alternate method than typing them in ...

I can't find any reference if it's possible to create custom color swatches in Dashboard for key/wipe/etc borders. I tried making a CC to fill in the numeric boxes when you click to change a border color, but the CC ends up being specific to that ME/key. A "generic" CC to fill in the numeric color values ...

Unless I misunderstand, what you're trying to do can be done via a split key, using a media store animation as the key source for a different fill. For even more eye candy, add another layer with a slightly different key/wipe animation, and layer that on top to add some more bling instead of just the ...

Make sure you follow the file name convention, the Dashboard help file has the info, but IIRC it's name-001.png What got me first time was the numbering, it needs to be 3 numbers (again, IIRC). #Carbonite

Managed to escape the shop already today, so don't have software version, but it is the latest (or very close to it, as I did an update within the last several months). Carbonite (vanilla) frame, the one without AES audio. 8 DVE, 8 AUX. Thanks Les! #Carbonite
