Hi All, as Les says this will get resolved and hopefully very soon now. The problem only occurs with 1/5 pip sizes where there is an error in the scaling algorithm when the image peak white level is at max. There is a simple resolution today in that if you turn on Proc Amps for any input that shows up ...

Hi Danny, you are correct, the capacity of the USB dictates max lengths. If your heading to NAB I would be happy to give you a 'refresher' on the nuances of the Chroma key. Of course Les can do the same. :) ------------------------------ Nigel Spratling Ross Video -------------------------- ...

Hi Howard, Sorry no, the Carbonite eXtreme has not been in production for a number of years and we have not developed a simulator for it. Was there something particular you were trying to achieve? ------------------------------ Nigel Spratling Ross Video --------------------------- ...

Hi folks, You do not have to physically re enter signals in Carbonite, doing so will cause a 1 line drop in the image. MEs and MiniMEs 'float' in switcher timing so an ME or MiniME output can be selected as an input to another ME or MiniME internally. Ideally you should have the ME you want to send ...

Hi Stephanie, When creating an effect for an OverDrive template you would need custom control macros that recall those memories. The CC macros can then be included in the template. You should check out the Overdrive community pages, I am sure our Overdrive colleagues will be happy to assist you. ...

Hi Jessi, The effect you want is very easy to create, it requires that you put the background into a DVE on say Key 1, then assign a second DVE to a Key above it i.e. Key 2. Now you need two memories, 1 with the DVE in Key 1 on air and full screen and Key 2 off (if you set your memory attributes ...

Hi there, yes you can do this. However there are signal flow constraints they might be preventing this from working for you. the flow can be as follows... MiniME>ME>MiniME or MiniME>MiniME or ME>MiniME. But Not ME>MiniME>MiniME or MiniME>MiniME>ME. Check signal assignments into both MiniMEs, I ...

Hi Shamil, Yes you can absolutely do this. We call this a squeeze back and it requires the use of a DVE. You can do this on the main PGM ME but it might be simpler to do it downstream using a MiniME. Using a MiniME simply assign a DVE to key 1and the lower third to key 2. Assign PGM from ...

Vasco, proc amp and Color correction controls are in Dashboard already. Just make sure your dashboard is up to date. You will find controls on the configuration pages. #Carbonite

Hi OPhoto, Autoplay works when the animation is cut to program, It wont play when its loaded into the store. Are you trying to create a media wipe or is this animated backgrounds? Creating a macro to load and play clips is very easy, are you using Dashboard or just a panel? #Carbonite

Les is on Vacation this week, however I can tell you that we have experienced a delay in the release of Version 8.0. It is now going to release at the end of September. It is now looking very good and has some major additions. It will be worth the wait :). #Acuity

Hi Charles, Carbonite does not have keyframe sequences like Vision or Acuity, it simply has effects dissolve transitions from memory recalls. #Carbonite

Hi Walter, What you have described is that you have used up all your DVEs and your recalls are stealing DVE resources. Open Dashboard and look on the status page, here you will see how many DVE's you have and where they are allocated, you have to decide which ones to turn off if they are all shown as ...

Hi there, this issue is typically the result of a corrupt USB thumbdrive. Try using another drive as a test. To see the files you can either pull the stick and look at it from your computer, save and loads are located in the /switcher/set directory, here you can also rename a set file for set ...
