inews, xpression moss plugin, MOS item too large error

We use iNews and the Xpression Mos Plug-in. I was trying to bring in a bracket graphic (heavy in quads & text, but no masks or layer objects) and we get MOS item too large error. Has anyone ever seen this? What does too large mean? Is it the overall size of the scene ??mb or is it the amount of quads ...
