If you have a Carbonite Ultra, and it is generating the reference signal, I HIGHLY recommend updating the Carbonite to the latest firmware. We had a system that was having sporadic issues with genlock, also using UE-150s, but the 9.1 update has documented bugfixes for reference generation, and has ...

Using Companion is the way. It can do RossTalk, it has robust ATEM support and presets. And likely talks to 90% of your other networked production gear. But you don't need to use a StreamDeck. (Although if you don't have a physical panel for your ATEM, maybe get a StreamDeck...) It is very easy to use ...

You could put a Apantec Multiviewer and a Cobalt router in an Opengear frame to do this. ------------------------------ Dav Krug Production Manager Open Signal: Portland Community Media Center Portland United States ------------------------------

Given that our MC1s operate about 70 degrees F cooler, I'm guessing that you are having overheating issues. Step 1: Figure out a way to blow more airlflow into the OpenGear frame with those cards in it asap. Step 2: Contact Ross support directly. You likely need to replace the fans on your MC1 cards. ...

That seems to be an issue with the OpenGear card you are talking to in Dashboard. Looks like an MC-1. Click on the Hardware tab, and let us know what you see./share a screen shot, that would help us It does look you have a fan alarm, so I'd be concerned about possible overheating, which could cause ...

Okay, so now I'm curious. Are the custom controls/memories from the Carbonite Code compatible with the Carbontite Ultra? Because if so, that's another argument for us picking one up in the near future. ------------------------------ David Krug Production Manager Open Signal: Portland ...

FYI for those who are curious, you can install dashboard on a Steamdeck in the native Linux OS and use the thumbsticks to control PTZ cameras thru it. I did it, and I'm pretty stoked about it. ------------------------------ David Krug Production Manager Open Signal: Portland Community Media ...

I'd recommend trying Bitfocus Companion to do this, as that app has done the hard work for you, and it is super easy to set up complicated actions to multiple devices with a single button press. You can still use Dashboard as the 'front end' easily. Either by adding a browser source on your Dashboard ...

I'd be tempted to run Bitfocus Companion for BMD router control instead. (It is Free & Open Source.) In Dashboard, you could either make a panel with buttons that trigger Companion buttons, or just make a quick panel with a Browser window for the web buttons from Companion. Including buttons that ...

Bitfocus Companion is a program that is used to drive control on Streamdecks, is free and open source, and does have some Ultrix control compatibility, I don't think it has the feature you are asking about though. (Yet) Still worth checking out: https://bitfocus.io/companion ---------- ...

Hi Gerard, Thanks! I'm glad to know they are working on it, and the output working makes it pretty usable. Assuming I get this order going quickly, I'll likely go with 1 machine with the Corvid 44 12G card, and I'll do a Corvid 22 for the other, where I'll need absolute reliability from the ...

My experience has almost always been very smooth with Carbonite firmware updates. I mean, if you have a ton of complicated customization, do the upgrade when you have a few hours to devote to making sure everything is still working as it should, but people do overworry about it. (And 7.1 is a huge ...

I assume you are running Ross hardware, what version? I had issues with drivers for the RAID when upgrading to Windows 10 on our V5 machine. Not sure if it was made easier or harder by us doing a fresh install of Windows 10 on an SSD separate from the RAID, but getting it working required letting ...

Anyone have any experience with this card? The Ross 3rd party card support datasheet doesn't seem to have been updated for a while, so I'm hopeful. Looking at ordering some Dell 3930 machines for Xpression SCE. Don't want to order machines from Ross because the Matrox card in them is overkill ...

Working with a Carbonite Plus, running 13.0.2. We have a Panasonic camera controller with GPIO set up so that when a camera is selected on it, the Carbonite is triggered to select the camera on Aux 1 so the operator can see it on a Flanders monitor. I would like to set up a gpio tally that ...

We use memories/custom controls to quickly recall things like 2 box DVE setups. I've also used custom controls to make easy Dashboard Aux output control buttons so that our PivotCam operator can pull up each camera on a reference monitor quickly. #Carbonite
