Hi Tristan! First; no need to have a take offline command on the end of the scenedirector when using in/out transition logic. You're triggering the out scenedirector by using the take offline command, so we're already in 'taking offline'. That might get you far enough to fix the current situation. ...

So by default, the outgoing scene is on-top in Transition logic, which means that our scene that's leaving is sticking around. We also strip all of the objects that don't have a keyframe on them in that out SceneDirector. I'm thinking all you should need to do is set a keyframe for your out-scene sponsor ...

I'll hop in to offer one more improvement: Instead of using Engine.Sequencer.GetFocusedTakeItem (which could theoretically end up changing the wrong take item, if another program asked for a preview render while you were focused on something else), you can just use Self.GetTakeItem(item) which will ...

Hmmm.... I'm not sure if we'll be able to tackle what you want to do this direction. Each time we go to Prepare, it's running everything all-new, so there's no memory of what we've done previously... I even tried down the road I saw you attempting with OnSetText, but same situation, the first time the ...

Hey John! I don't see the scene attached. Where are you running this script? ------------------------------ Zachary Fradette United States ------------------------------

Hey Jeff, The Scene ID (the number that's at the top right of the thumbnail in the Scene Manager) is the starting ID XPression will try to give a take item generated from that Scene. You can right click the scene and change the Scene ID, and that should change it for scenes. For clips, I'm not sure ...

Hey Alejandro! In the bottom screen in your image, you can see that the "Continuous Animation & Other Effects diamond" (blue diamond that's 4 items to the right of the visual logic icon on the designer viewport) isn't selected, meaning that Visual Logic isn't running on your designer scene. (It ...

Oh yes, I think that's somewhere between 10.5 and 11.0. Tech Support should be able to help you get the right version! ------------------------------ Zachary Fradette United States ------------------------------

Hey Alexa! If you're on the same subnet as your Trackman, you can just use the XML/JSON TCP datalinq, set it to UDP, and listen to port 20998. Crucially, you have to be on the same network/have it set up so that traffic can pass through. Other things of note: I think a game or practice has to be started, ...

Hi Richard! With XPression Tessera, we can definitely play sizes that large, though you will hit the NVIDIA limitation of ~16,000 pixels on one dimension size. There are a couple of ways you can get around this, easiest being, split the graphic into two sections within the same scene in Tessera. ...

For dashboard specific questions, you might find more help in the "Enterprise Control" forum. https://rossvideo.community/communities/community-home?CommunityKey=94781415-eb0f-4f9a-b891-c44d41d870c8 That said; usually you'll see that happen when you make a change within the ogscript, ...

Keep in mind; changing a font (or a material for that matter) will affect the usage of that asset project wide. A thought that might work for you; make a font that's a mask material, so it's poking through your lineup 'background', but then beneath that you have another white background and a yellow ...

If you can grab a Scene that's in the project you want to edit the Widget of, you can use it as a reference point to get the project object, then edit the widget from there. I've tested this script out on a global keyboard shortcut. The widget was in an inactive project, but had a scene online that ...

Yeah! I've got 2 main ways that I prefer to change text color using visual logic. Way #1 would be what I use within a setup scene. Because Materials are PROJECT WIDE, if we change a Font Material within Visual Logic, that will apply to the whole material, the whole font, and the whole project. We ...

Hi Greg! Have you verified that both projects have the correct Datalinq server added within their settings? (It has to be set on a per-project basis). You can check this by Activate a project to check, by either right clicking it within the project manager and selecting "Activate" or ...

Hey Mike, all good to be new with scripting, thanks for coming to the forums to ask! From what it's sounding like; if you're already setting a text object WITH the widget, you wouldn't need to get the widget at all (since it's setting the text object, so we have the info we would get from it anyway) ...

That's interesting Takuya... Would you mind uploading either the scene you're building/project, or screenshots of the scene? I wouldn't think it would take that long to come online unless there's a significant amount of data pulling happening, or there's fields that are waiting on other fields. ...

Hey Ben! I'm gonna put this out there with a couple of warning flags! (1) I've put this script in an event block on the scene director that's meant to run. I think that's probably the safest place. (2) THIS MAY CAUSE THE ENGINE TO BRIEFLY HOLD UP. We're telling Windows to open another ...
